Life will change as we know it

I keep seeing people say these things, what does it mean exactly? I’ve seen people say there’s a big shock coming to most people and that life will change ‘beyond recognition’

We realise we are all self centred, selfish and inward thinking, that community spirit doesn't exist, and we rely fully on scaremongering and dramatisation of the media and social media to govern our actions.

Depends whether they mean in the short or long term. Short term a lengthy lockdown situation will make life very different obviously.
Longer term I imagine they mean a combination of lots of things.
Potential deaths of thousands
Economic crash
Businesses going out of business - possibly including tourism and airline companies which will impact on the availability of cheap holidays abroad.
Also more positive things though like companies recognising the value of working from home and flexible working, and being more willing to allow that in future. And a potential culture shift away from presentee-ism and going to work regardless of illness.

I'm sure other people can think of much more extensive lists.
