Is DD aged 6 with asthma high risk?

As above, DD aged 6 has asthma. I have begun giving her her brown inhaler a few days ago and have plenty of ventolin for her should she need it.

She has a history of asthma and croup and has probably had croup around 30 times since the first time she had it at 3 months old. Basically, if she gets a cold, it develops into croup for some reason.

At her last asthma review, it was decided that next GP visit will mean a referral for her to the respiratory department.

DD has had diarrhoea yesterday so will be off school tomorrow anyway but could go back on Tuesday. I’m just wondering, is she at a high risk of complications? If you were in my shoes, would you keep her home for the foreseeable?

I would as she is so young won’t miss much she can’t catch up on at her age in my opinion but someone else might know more.

Thanks. I don’t want to overreact but I also don’t want to put DD in unnecessary risk. I’m a SAHM so thankfully childcare isn’t an issue for me. It’s so hard to know what’s for the best Sad
