Single dad worrying about seeing daughter during lockdown

Hi there, I’m a single dad in Sutton Coldfield with a 4 year old daughter who lives in Coventry with her mom. I have her every other weekend and try and see her in the week and we are very close. I’m taking her to school tomorrow and I’m worried sick that if we go into lockdown that may be the last time I see her for weeks or months!
Any other dads feeling the same? Do we know what the precedent is in the countries currently on lockdown whether child access is still granted when kids are in a next town?
Thanks

I have just posted something along same lines. I suppose it depends how strict things are really. Whether we can take them out in the car and drop at other parents.

It sounds as though some other countries are preventing any movement unless in an emergency. It’s going to be a really tough time. It’s not the same but at least we have FaceTime and the like tomaid contac

That’s the thing no one knows, it’s pretty worrying. I can’t imagine it would help young kids understand all this and stay calm if they don’t see one parent for a long time

No one can possibly know this yet so any answers will be purely speculation. Can you make sure her mum sets up some form of Skype / facetime so that you and your daughter can talk to each other remotely if the worst happens.

Speak to her on FaceTime a lot anyway, problem is I get the impression the moms boyfriend is a bit of a control freak it seems as ever since he came on the scene I can only talk to her when he’s at work. If he’s not at work quarantined as well - could be frustrating.
