Dry cough help

Pretty sure I don't have coronavirus. My kids have had normal colds. My son currently has a red sticky eye and cold.... I've been pottering about doing some jobs and now my chest is tickly and dry. Everytime I try to sleep I cough or wake up with a irritating tickle. So I've come downstairs again. My little boys just had calpol and has settled.

The problem is my DD is five and healthy at the moment. She has school tomorrow. I'm hoping I'll be ok in the morning to take her. But if I wake up feeling rubbish I've got nobody to help me tomorrow. I can't think of an excuse to keep her home tomorrow..
Also you report absence through an app so you can't ask questions.

I just feel like if I say I have a dry cough what will they say?? You can't keep a healthy kid of because you have a dry cough can you?

If there is genuinely no one else that can take her you'll have to and just tell school the truth.

call the school in the morning and explain your circumstances

Yes you can, if it's persistent
