How much toilet paper do I need?

A household with 2 adults, 1 teenager and 2 four yr olds. On a typical day, there is no one in the house between 8 am and 5pm. But now, DH will work from home and I’ll be on a sabbatical until this CV thing clears and kids return to school. So, it’s a full house 24/7.

I have 2 bags of 9 rolls each. Do I need more? I have no clue how much we use. I just add it to my weekly online order when I put out the last rolls.

Technically, you need none at all.

There are other and theoretically more hygienic ways to deal with cleaning up, such as washing with water.

I really don't get the toilet paper craze (and, yes, I've the same cultural background and use it, too, ... but I also once worked in Jordan for three years and have learned that it's entirely feasible to make do without the stuff ...)

See how much you use over a couple of days and work out from that how many you need a week.

Really so much? I live on my own and 1 roll of decent quality loo paper lasts me 10-14 days including some visitors!

2 adults, 2 children and when we are all home at the weekend it's a roll a day.

But it is one of the easier things to find an alternative for.

I remember an old man I used to care for used to say, one sheet to wipe, but rip the corner off first to clean under your nails afterwards.
