Employers punishing for lack of sales

itsallthedramaMickiloveit · 15/03/2020 21:07

Are anyone else's employers displeased by the lack of sales generated recently?

We've noticed a massive decline in sales mainly we assume due to the Virus.

Our company are starting to make rumblings that they are unhappy we've not hit budgets or VsLY.

Surely they can't use this against staff/management?!

Many businesses are suffering at the moment...well apart from supermarketsGrin
I take it your not working in a supermarket...what kind of products are you selling??
Management should know the reasonHmm

Well they definitely won't be happy but they surely understand the reason is a bit beyond their staff?!

Do you have a union? If so ask them to intervene.

@ilovedjerrymore Unfortunately not! I can imagine the lovely bonuses they'd be on.

It's not the managers. They're the ones in the firing line.

It's the Higher Ups.
It's not really me more DH.

I'm sick to death of the company and would love to go full scorched earth over Social media.
We sell food and alcohol.

There is never an acceptable reason not to make money. Never. Ever.

I work in the travel industry, I've stopped even looking at the sales reports at this stage tbh it's so bad. Cancellations are massively out weighing bookings for a couple of weeks now. I think we'll see a lot of small tour ops and agents go under from this. I'm just glad I'm getting paid.
