I'm in a tricky situation, I am 26 weeks pregnant but in good health and young, my husband is also young and in good health. My SIL works for the NHS and is working on the respiratory ward and has told us how she is having to test patients for Coronavirus! She is wearing protective clothing and masks.
After I thought about it for a while I started to wonder if it's sensible to have her round our house at the moment? I would feel so awkward and mean having to get DH to tell her to stay away at the moment. I do struggle with anxiety so I don't know if this is my anxiety speaking or something I should be serious about! What would you do if you was me?

My friend is a doctor on respiratory and has been told pretty much that they will catch it at some point. I'm definitely distancing myself for a little while. I'm worried too, it's scary isn't it xx

@bluebell94 yes very scary 😞 I'm dreading having the conversation with DH as it's his sister and he doesn't get as anxious as me about things but I'd never forgive myself if something bad happened.

I’m pregnant too OP and my husband is a nurse . We’ve said if he’s in contact with a patient with potential or confirmed Covid, he’s going to isolate in the spare bedroom and I will also stay out the way until I know he’s clear . Stay safe if you can x

@GaaaaarlicBread how worrying for you and your DH! Fingers crossed he stays well but glad you have a plan in place incase anything does happen. I do feel for doctors and nurses in this situation.

Thank you, I do feel for them too. I work at the same hospital but in admin so I’m still exposed but not half as bad as staff front facing patients . He’s had to shave his whole beard off he’s gutted 😂 I also have a medical condition (not severe but it means I can catch things easier due to my medications) so I’m a bit worried !

Yep, I'm also a nurse myself so very worried. There is no evidence so far that we are more susceptible and no evidence showing transmission to baby during pregnancy but it's such early days that I'm very cautious and anxious x
