Shocked by cavalier attitude

Just heard about someone who went on holiday last week got back today. They were in a ski village not too far from where the first British Coronavirus infections occurred back in early Feb (so over a month ago).

Apparently there was plenty of drinking, clubbing etc without a care in the world. Ie no social distancing at all. Now they're back home and the entire party has colds and coughs so they "may" self-isolate.

What the fuck is wrong with people? Apparently they'd paid for the holiday and didn't want to cancel.

2 weeks ago I could understand but by the beginning of last week things were already getting really serious, especially in Italy. I just can't believe how irresponsible people are.

There’s just no telling some people, is there?

These are probably the kind of people who will now scurry to the supermarket and buy all the supplies of toilet paper and food they can afford.

It beggars belief.

Not making excuses for them but at the beginning of last week ( when they were starting their holiday) things were not as dire. It was pretty much business as usual. It’s only in the last few days people have woken up about the seriousness of it all.

There's nothing wrong with them going on holiday when they did, things have moved very quickly since then, but they should definitely be self isolating if they have coughs. I'd be annoyed with them too.
