I’m not actually serious, but isn’t that what we’ll need to do if the Government want us to develop “herd immunity” by next winter. 60% of us will need to get Coronavirus, that’s about 40 million, or roughly 2 million per week! Even with the elderly isolated from this (though not sure how that’s possible for the most vulnerable requiring residential or home care), that will utterly swamp the NHS and lead to 10s if not 100s thousands of deaths.

Also, if we are going down this road, I want to get it sooner rather than later..., I’ll probably be ok, but should I need a ventilator, it’s surely better to get it this week than in May when the system has broken. Perhaps I should no longer be washing my hands!

They're not sure you acquire lasting immunity.

So until that is settled, it's a seriously stupid idea
