So this seems to be the idea.
Step one: Take a recently emerged zoonotic virus and deliberately breed it in the younger population, based on the fact that it (currently) mainly kills those over 60.
Step 2: isolate the 70+ in bubbles where, for four months, they will have no contact with anyone under 70.
Step 3: Hope and pray that with a targeted 45 + million cases, there is no mutation or dna swapping that makes the pathogen deadlier (even though its closest two cousins, SARS and MERS are far deadlier) or changes it’s age selectivity,
Step 4: Grant an extra 5 billion or less than £10/ person to build some beautiful big new health facilities (probably a rusty drip in a school turned field hospital).
Step 3; the population acquired herd immunity with ‘minimal’ deaths.
Step 5: Release the older population into the brave new immune population.
Brilliant!! He should be awarded a Nobel for it.
