Badly controlled asthma, what would you do?

Hi

My asthma is poorly controlled. My doctor is working with me to get it under control. I have a baby at nursery and a child at primary school. I work full time.

I’m really anxious about getting the CV, just a cold puts a strain on my chest. I could work from home but I’d have to discuss this with work and feel like they’d be a bit judgy if I was to say I feel vulnerable and want to work at home. Also if my kids are still at school that’s surely a higher risk?

My parents are over 70 and help a lot with childcare. If they are forced into isolation then I would have to work from home more, but would work understand?

My anxiety is through the roof and I am at a loss on how to best protect myself and family. I’m hoping the government makes some decisions that are clear very soon.
