Can someone please explain why people keep saying the electricity will go off? Am I being really thick?

People are confusing coronavirus with giant meteorites.

It will for those with key meters who have to self isolate unless

a. they break quarantine to go and get their meter topped up
or

b. the companies come up with a plan.
c and that the plan does not include taking advantage of the situation to push people into having smart meters.

But I have a meter and you can top up online?

Not all company's offer that and the ones who do, don't offer warm front discount.( Not that thats important at the moment and wanders off to look into it again).

Wanders back in. To those that budget to the penny, if you change don't forget to go through a cash back site. Ive just figured I can change, top up online and get cash back in time for next winters extra fuel expense.
