I want to put a sign around my neck stating that I’m not coughing through a cold or a flu.
To be honest no one has stared at me when I have coughed but it is making me less inclined to go out.
Does anyone else have a non cold flu cough that is making them twitchy about going out?

I hear you. Just got off a plane. Trying to not cough for five hours was very difficult (I have asthma)

As a smoker, your lung capacity will be reduced, which makes you more vulnerable. This doesn’t get listed as a ‘medical condition’ because it isn’t, but you should know so that you can take extra care.

DD has a coughing fit at work on the tills.

Manager swept her outside and got someone to take over quite sharpish!! Didn’t want to put customers off.

I have asthma

I did two little coughs on the bus today but luckily no one was fussed.

Yeah, I'm a smoker too and have had a bad cold recently that has gone to my chest. I'm very aware that CV goes to the lungs and trying to cut down if not quit.

I don't smoke, but I have a chronic cough, because I have a lung disease.

An auto-immune lung disease.

Trying not to cough just adds another layer of stress to the stress of being high-risk but having to go to work on public transport anyway.

I feel your pain.

Please try to cut down now for your own health
