A teacher at our youngest child's school has been off with what appears to be covid-19. We won't know becuase they've been told they can't have a test due to them not being in hospital. The school remains open.
To not double check a teacher seems madness. But that's not what I'm posting about.
Today the head teacher posted that he wasn't going to be taking part in a local mass sporting event due to fears of the virus spreading. This strikes me as being extremely hypocritical although I suppose his hands are tied on closing the school due to government policy.
My wife is in a high risk group if she were to get sick with this. I'm going slowly mad with anxiety. We are considering not sending either of the kids (they go to different schools) next week.
Has anyone else considered or actually kept their kids home due to fear of This illness?
