Are we the only county to close schools in the UK?

We've got 11 known cases out of a population of 22,000 before the government stopped allowing testing.

Bizarre. I'm in Lincolnshire with a population of just over 1 million. We have 3 cases. Confused

I live on an island 140,000 ish we have only got one case so far, so business as usual.

MrsAmaretto · 14/03/2020 21:19

We have a very mobile population. I think that's why we have so many cases.

In my child's class of 12, 4 fathers work abroad or offshore. This is normal. Many people use planes like people on the mainland use buses or trains! In the last 3 months I've flown to Edinburgh and Glasgow 3 times for work and once for a hen party.

It's not business as usual up here. Youth clubs, sports clubs etc have all been cancelled. Even the cinema has reduced ticket capacity to 40% so you can stay away from other people!
