If antibac isn't the answer?

What do you clean surfaces with?

I understand about handwashing, you need to wash the virus off, antibac won't kill it.

I (fairly) routinely clean all the door handles and light switches with detox spray. Is there a better way to do it?. Obviously can't "wash" electrical switches.

I understand it’s attracted to grease so a warm soapy cloth....?..it’s about breaking the greasy film on surfaces

I put the Dettol on a cloth and wipe across anything electrical.

Under normal circumstances I'd just use a clean dishcloth but I have a small stock of disposable J cloth which I've been using for cleaning the office

Yes do antibac wipes do nothing if it’s a virus?

4amWitchingHour · 14/03/2020 17:23

Soapy water breaks down the lipids (fats) that hold the virus together, killing it. So wiping down with a soapy cloth probably your best bet

Dettol kills viruses, and more importantly CV!
