You do know people. Probably several people. They just aren’t in the bracket of those with severe symptoms.

Igotthemheavyboobs · 14/03/2020 13:19

I don't know anyone with a known case, I have asked friends and family and they don't either.

tangledyarn · 14/03/2020 13:19

I'm fairly sure I've got it/nearly over it, but no way of getting tested so we will never know!

PotteringAlong · 14/03/2020 13:20

No

Bunnylady54 · 14/03/2020 13:22

I don’t know of anyone. I guess here in Cornwall we’re quite lucky as we don’t have any really large populations. DD has had a nasty cough but no other symptoms

beckyy · 14/03/2020 13:23

Does anyone know how long this virus has 'out'.Did it just appear in China a couple of months ago?

ginandnappies · 14/03/2020 13:24

One, he returned from abroad and felt hot and a bit fluish, he was tested and then when it came back positive taken to an isolation unit and was out within 3 days after negative tests.

NoBoojustNo · 14/03/2020 13:29

Yes I do.

sillyoldelfbacktohimself · 14/03/2020 13:31

Possibly... DP returned from abroad (place not considered a hotspot) came down with flu symptoms a few days after, more ill than I've ever seen him, awful cough, aching body but no temp. Four days in bed and he's over the worst. Not tested as he chose to self isolate and didn't see any medical professionals so we'll never know.

lorrainerose · 14/03/2020 14:51

Yes, they had returned from abroad. Very ill for a week and then started to improve.

AhoyMrBeaver · 14/03/2020 14:55

No, even though I work with hundreds of people, and obviously they all know hundreds of other people, I don't even have a 'someone's nephew's driving instructor had it' connection.

walkingtheway · 14/03/2020 15:04

Yes. Very unwell and hospitalised but now home and improving well. Other members of their friends/family tested positive but have mild or no symptoms.

screamer1 · 14/03/2020 17:00

Someone at Dhs work is in hospital with it

PriscillaPresley · 14/03/2020 17:17

Yes. She got it from skiing. She's got it at the moment. High fever, cough and sore throat. She says she feels really rough.

PriscillaPresley · 14/03/2020 17:17

She's at home. Not in hospital.

PriscillaPresley · 14/03/2020 17:18

Yet

wheresthehope · 14/03/2020 17:19

I know a person who’s passed away from it

sertralinehelp · 14/03/2020 17:21

Yes, a nurse who caught it in work.

Honeyroar · 14/03/2020 17:23

Yes. I’m cabin crew and a handful of crew have started with it in the last week (bad flu so far, nobody hospitalised). Out of thousands of crew.

Babyroobs · 14/03/2020 17:27

There has been a death at the hospital I work at. reported today in local newspaper but her died on Thursday. I expect to see another steep rise in deaths tomorrow. I guess for some they can't confirm it as a cause of death straight away.

thepointoforder · 14/03/2020 18:47

Yes one person.
