Asking for a friend on mat leave due to return in 4 weeks to an NHS admin role. Obviously if other workplaces shut hospitals won't.. but would admin staff be sent in too?

I assume so as they are essential to the workings of the NHS. I know during swine flu when I worked in admin during NHS, more non-essential staff were re-assigned to the flu centres to hand out the drugs.

It all seems hazy but I think we’re expected to work unless someone in our department directly proves positive.
