Anyone know what the travel insurance position is for USA and NZ?

If someone had been to Schenzen zone in last 14 days and had travel booked to USA, or if someone was planning to travel to NZ, and under the NZ local rules now had to self quarantine for 14 days once arriving... but our FCO still says it's fine to travel to these places (as is the case!)... does anyone know what the general travel insurance position is?

A relative has a holiday of a lifetime booked and is getting increasingly worried. I can't find any information about this.

Thanks...

Call the travel insurance company and you'll know. We were meant to be going to Spain next week and travel insurance won't pay out as it stands...even though they've declared a state of national emergency and FCO banning travel to limited areas of the country...

Oh, and my travel insurance company told me that if I cancel things before advice changes then they won't be liable to refund any of it (even though the sooner I cancel the more money I might get back!) so am sitting on my hands for the weekend.
