Uk govt response to c19 is based on huge swathes of uk getting corona virus and developing immunity.

A few weeks ago I was reading of people getting reinfected. So I looked for scientific evidence that a dose of corona will lead to immunity.

It does seem at this stage the science is inconclusive.

Which is very poor form to based a uk response on.

Has anyone come across any conclusive evidence that this herd immunity theory has any substance to it re Coronavirus?

Govts C19 policy is fake news!

Herdimunity certainly is a "known concept" butisnotsomething you rely on, but you use it to calculatehowmuch of thepopulation you need to immunize toinsure the few that can't get immunizations wouldbeprotectd indirectly because there aren't enough hosts around to transmit the disease.

The problem is 1) that we do not wknow if people become immune after they have covid 19 , and 2)That we are relying on most of population having mild symptoms, and theones that didn't as a calculated sacrifice.... Bonkers approach!!

Just to clarify I know herd immunity works re a vaccinated population.

But I think the herd immunity the govt are talking about here is from the (supposedly) immunity people will have post infection.
