Curious to hear from any NHS workers who may have any insight dealing with covid-19 in asthma patients as to what kind of care would typically be given and what the risks are for a child with asthma.
I'm working myself up into a panic about my DD, 9, who is asthmatic. I've her taken her out of school indefinitely and am wfh as my calculation is that at the moment if she got a severe asthma attack the NHS wouldn't be able to cope. Is that a fair assumption?
That being the case, would it be better to go in and develop herd immunity or for her to be kept out of school indefinitely.
Really hard to know what the best course of action is: government advice is not reassuring to me in the slightest.
