How Can I support Friends With Health Anxiety?

I have several friends and colleagues with health anxiety, many of whom have underlying conditions such as asthma and diabetes, or have elderly relatives with heart failure, COPD etc.
How can I help them without resorting to crappy platitudes?
I am worried for them, as I know the situation is taking a toll on them, but if they're anxious they'll not be sleeping/eating properly and will get run down and therefore more susceptible.
Could anyone with health anxiety, or supporting those with anxiety give me some practical actions or tell me what helped?
Thank you Thanks

I'm really sorry I'm no help but watching with interest. You sound like a lovely friend!

Thanks Dancing, they've been very supportive of me, so I do want to help them.

How about sharing the 'positive mental health thread' that's on here with them? It shares good news stories, has helped me massively. Encourage them to delete social media for the time being and stop checking the news.

Thanks izzy- is that in mental health or in coronavirus topic?
