Can we keep children at home?

I'm on immunosuppressive medication for ms

Dh can work from home

We have 2 children who are in primary school so no exams etc to consider, if we decided to keep them at home to try and stop myself catching this virus are there any consequences?

Was hoping schools would close selfishly as I'm a sahp so would have no childcare issues but understand that's not the same for everyone

If you are good no to keep them off, are you really able to do this for the length of the outbreak - which could be months?
