Ocado order - loo roll

I’ve just done an Ocado order for mid next week - the earliest slot I could book. It said that everything I ordered was in stock, but does that mean that I’m guaranteed to get it all in six days’ time? Or will I just get a load of substitutions and cancelled items for things like hand wash and loo roll? If the latter I might as well just cancel and buy from my local corner shop tomorrow, instead of waiting six days.

Ocado are generally really good with substitutions. They are usually very rare.

So if they’re saying these items are in stock then I’ll definitely get them - even though my delivery isn’t until next week?

Ocado have a really good computerised system so if they have it in stock it will already have your name on it. But I suppose if it's supposed to be delivered to them before nexts weds and isn't you won't get it.

No. I had an ocado delivery at the weekend. It told me everything was in stock when I ordered but we still had loads of substitutions / missing items on the day.

Yes - unless their system completely falls over. They don’t pick from shops like others do. So they have really good stock visibility.

Don’t sue me if they sub something! But they are usually reliable.

I had a delivery on Wednesday, had one item missing and one (loo roll!) substituted. Not bad as it was a big shop.

I had a large shop last weekend and no missing items or substitutions at all - included toilet roll, hand wash, paracetamol etc

I had my least successful Ocado delivery ever this week. Several items were unavailable by the time it came, no substitutions available on some basic items eg rice. Showing as available when you order is no guarantee at the moment.

Never had a problem with Ocado.

HOWEVER their website and app has been absolutely pants this last week I’m assuming due to traffic so who knows what’ll happen on delivery day!

I just had my delivery with only one substitution. Just a slightly different box of tissues.

They are generally quote good, but in times like this there are no guarantees.

I did an Ocado around 6 weeks ago with hand sanitiser. Didn't arrive and no subs.
