We have a colleague who has been around Rome and northern italy for a week. Instead of following govt guidelines for visiting high risk areas and self isolating.....came to work one day and then went to a conference.
They are now self isolating and awaiting a test.

Am I justified in feeling pissed off at them?

I'm generally not a coronavirus panicker but I just feel this was really selfish. We work in a large organisation, some have immunocompromised relatives, most of us come into contact with vulnerable people.
I just feel so cross at them.

Though they have no symptoms so maybe I am getting cross over nothing.

He's an idiot. Surely everyone knows not to do that by now?

Going to work bad enough, but then going to a conference too? You’re right to be pissed off. What a prick!

No you're not being ridiculous; they are being selfish and irresponsible.
But how are they getting a test if they have no symptoms? Loads of people with symptoms are not getting tested.

katielilly · 12/03/2020 20:34

At least your colleague has no symptoms and hopefully won't develop any. It's very thoughtless of your colleague.

I dont know how how they are getting tested. I just know they are. Someone is going round tomorrow and the results take 48 hours. So they'll know soon enough if they have it I suppose.
