That was the bit that got me.

Did you watch Macron's speech? I found it very sobering.

Not sure how I'll be able to work from home and keep 2 DC occupied/oversee their school work that their school has already told is they will be given!

No, I didn't see the speech. But DD is an Erasmus student at a French university so she booked a ticket home directly after she saw it.

Mixed feelings here because although we will be very glad to see her and to have the comfort of knowing if she should fall ill there should be family to look after her now, I trust the French approach to tackling the virus far more than the British one.

Fingers crossed she can return to France soon.

One very interesting thing Macron said was that the virus doesn't have a passport and that we need to have Europe-wide initiatives.

We're supposed to be in the UK in 3 weeks time. Not sure if we'll still be allowed in at that point.
