Testing and Figures

Sorry if this has been raised elsewhere. I’m not very well, so might have missed it. Also ignore any errors.

I just think it’s odd that by following the 7 day rule, lots of people could get it, recover (great), but never get tested.

Surely this would then mean that the figures would be skewed and therefore that would affect what the government do next.... or am I missing something.

Other countries seem to be either testing more and the poor countries who have been most affected seem to be saying that they wish they had tested more and tested earlier.

I keep hearing the news presenters mention modelling, but we don’t seem to be taking any notice.

However, this really does scare me, because from what I can gather skewed numbers means incorrect plans going forward, more people suffer.

Also, when it is all over, surely this resolves the government of as much accountability? - not that this is important at the moment.

Agreed but I think the horse has bolted. They don’t have the resources to physically test everyone who gets it or thinks they have it now. I think if we are able to choose we’re to put man hours we have to choose treatment man hours over testing.

It will skew numbers however they’ve already stated that they believe there to be 5000-10000 cases of Coronavirus currently - they’re not going off the number of people who have tested positive only,

Well yes I totally agree with that. It’s just that they are waiting for the peak, but it could come much sooner and they wouldn’t know. It’s a catch 22 situation.

Sorry that was to @Evenquieterlife33.
Ahh okay, so they are using the projected figures too. That makes more sense. Thank you.
