Wise people of Mumsnet- advice needed! We're booked to go to to DLP end of August. What are your predictions as to whether it will be a ghost town or not? This is costing us so much money that we can't really afford and If many aspects such as the parades/fireworks/shows etc aren't going to be on im wondering whether to change my booking for October half term ? Or am I just panicking ?

I would imagine by august it will have ended. But I did hear some 'expert' suggesting 6 more months so maybe not. How on earth can we guess? Do you have travel insurance already purchased? Does it have pandemic cover?

I do have insurance but not sure if it covers pandemics! However if I amend my dates soon enough I can change to October for a £25 admin fee so not sure if it's worth changing now just to be on the safe side! This will be our first family holiday abroad after saving up for a long time, and probably the only time we'll visit Disneyland so I want to give the DCs the full experience. But on the flip side don't want to act in haste when things may well have blown over by August !

a good summary of insurance cover

In August I would worry more about the heatwave. Paris is miserable that time of year.

littleduckeggblue · 12/03/2020 14:03

I'd change it. Better to be safe than sorry

BathshebasBane · 12/03/2020 14:04

I'd change just to be safe but also October you'll get the Halloween stuff and Disney usually put on a good show

Eek, we're booked for end of June-early July and have insurance with Debenhams. Our balance is due mid April and not sure what to do.
