Lone parents self isolation

This has probably been done somewhere but I can't see it so I was wondering about lone parents. I'll try and pay out questions I would like help with clearly..

Correct me if I'm wrong but self isolation seems to be only if you have travelled or have been in known contact with a person with covid19?

And if you are self isolating, other people you live with can still go out? However you can't self isolate within a house as a lone parent so what happens then?

Also, I'm not well today. I don't have a fever but I have a sore throat and thumping head. Is this something at the moment we should be calling in sick for? But not self isolating because I don't fit other criteria?

I'm fed up with this already and it hasn't even started.
