This website presents the available data so far in an easy to understand format.

Bear in mind that so far, most data has come from China where many people smoke and air pollution is already a major health hazard, all of which are likely to affect mortality rates for this virus since it affects the respiratory system.

informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/covid-19-coronavirus-infographic-datapack/

Headlines/ coverage includes...
The majority of infections are mild (80.9% treat at home)
The bulk of people recover
Those aged 60+ are most at risk, especially those with pre-existing conditions (99.1% of people with no pre-existing condition recover)
Info on how contagious/ deadly it is
Info on survival rates by country (impacted by age of population and quality of healthcare)
Media coverage vs other fatal illnesses

I’m not saying don’t plan, prep, or anything else. Of course as with any other illnesses I think it is vitally important to limit spread so that the vulnerable people among us are protected and hospital beds aren’t overwhelmed.

But for those of you who are worried for yourself and your children but are otherwise in good health, perhaps this will help make you feel a bit better about it all.

The first four graphs are valid and informative, though I’d assume most people are aware of those facts. The fifth is really interesting though their unusual choice of vertical axis makes Covid 19 look much more like normal flu than it is.
Graphs 6 and 7 are significantly out of date. 6 is highly misleading because it doesn’t take into account the maturity of the outbreak in different countries.
