As above, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita have been diagnosed with the illness while in Australia.

That’s exactly how I have been feeling over the last 6 days. Tired, achy, like I have a cold.

I wouldn’t get tested though because I have not flown anywhere or been on contact with anyone. I would love to know if this is it or not. I don’t suppose it is.

Oh dear - he’s got Type 2 diabetes hasn’t he? Hopefully he’ll be OK.

He does have diabetes, yes.

Hopefully they will recover quickly.

At least they can afford the medical care should they need it. I really feel for the uninsured Americans right now.

They are still in Australia and are sitting out their quarantine here (I live in Australia too). The healthcare here is excellent, happily.

I'm less concerned about Hanks and his wife than I am for most other people. While the virus doesn't discriminate on wealth, healthcare and well being availability and options do. Even in Australia. So you can bet he's not going to be fighting the virus living on tinned tomatoes and pot noodles stressing about how he's going to pay the rent.

Not that I wish him ill at all, nor his wife (nor anybody!). And I hope they don't get hit hard with it now they've tested positive.

I've been like this for the last 3 weeks or so with a slight cough and breathless occasionally but like pp I wouldn't get tested because I haven't been anywhere. Although more people may now they've upped the number of tests to 10,000 a day
