Waiting to be tested

DC1 down with high fever and temp, called 111 who told the whole family to self isolate and await call for testing.

Weirdly we haven't been to the affected areas or in contact with any confirmed cases but they still wanted to test us, I was expecting to just be told to self isolate.

Anyone in similar limbo situation? Would be good to have a buddy.

Good that they seem to be testing people who haven’t travelled abroad though, as community spread must be happening.

Blimey DS had a high temp and was ill for 5 days - I didn't call anyone since it just seemed like a normal virus. I wonder if he would have been tested if I had. Hope all is ok with your DC.

DC has a bad cough too, so I think they're being cautious. DH is a commuter and I think they have concerns stemming from that.

That's good news re testing. Have you had many cases in your area.
