He hasn't been sick, and while he's hot to the touch his temperature is normal, I checked it. He says he feels "shaky" but doesn't have a cough or shortness of breath. He's five, so frankly it could very easily be a random stomach bug.

Keeping him off school is not a problem - and he's clearly too poorly to go in, bless him - but I just don't know if the rest of the family should now self-isolate? He doesn't have the right symptoms for coronavirus! Confused

It doesn't sound anything like coronavirus to he honest. Probably just a bug.

That's what I'm thinking. Obviously just because covid-19 is spreading doesn't mean people aren't still getting ill with other things!

Sounds like a bug
If he is sick please please keep him off for the 48 hours afterwards.... not saying you don't do this but so many send back the next day etc and don't follow the rules. Hence why these things spread like wildfire

Hope your D's feels better

There are sickness bugs galore spreading round our school. Sounds like that's what your dc has, it's far more likely anyway

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 11/03/2020 07:05

Yup, that's the conclusion I've come to - he will go to his gran's for the day and the rest of us will go to school/work as normal!
