Coughing

I'm in a bit of a quandary. I've got a cough. Under normal circumstances I'd just think I've got a cough and I have no other symptoms but my dd recently returned from a school trip to Northern Italy. She is fine and has had no symptoms but she is 13 and I know that youngsters don't always show them. NHS.111 seems to suggest that unless you have actually been abroad yourself it's not an issue.

I am a teacher so am very aware of spreading the lurgy....
What are your thoughts?

Personally, I would self isolate until at least my symptoms are gone OR condition deteriorates and then I would call 111 again.

Unlikely that you will get tested at this time though as the criteria are quite strict and I believe that although they are ramping up capabilities, currently we are only able to test about 2000/day max

111 is a joke. Definitely self isolate and call your gp tomorrow.

They aren't testing enough people.
