to ask what will happen to people who rely on food banks?

We have a collection box at work for our local foodbank. I do a weekly online shop and always add in £5 worth of stuff that I can pop into the donations box at work. Usually tinned stuff - macaroni cheese, corned beef, pasta etc.

I've just logged on to do next order and the shop is out of all pasta and most tinned food! So all the things that I would normally donate are unavailable.

We haven't even had orders to self isolat and already foodbank are running short of donations. Does anyone here know what will happen to all those people who rely on foodbanks?

I dropped in pasta and bars of soap at the weekend at our local collection point. The shop was nearly empty of both and both are items in demand, it's only fair I should share my ability to shop for what I want when I want tbh.

I contacted our local food bank this week and asked what items they needed donating. She replied that they only need more volunteers and that their supply's were fine! I was pretty surprised, but maybe they get large donations from shops/companies?
