City break in April

I just wanted a few opinions on this.

I have a UK city break booked for the beginning of April. Should I cancel it now? It's looking like Covid 19 is spreading more and more and I don't want to be stuck in my hotel for 2 weeks or risk spreading the illness around the country. Or am I overreacting?

What do you all think?

No you’re not overreacting, you’re being very sensible to think ahead. Trouble is it’s so uncertain at the moment. But it would seem – from the press conference after yesterday’s Cobra meeting – that things will get clearer within the next two weeks and advice will tighten up, so, hard as it is to be in this uncertainty I’d hold off for a bit and wait to see how things change in the next fortnight.

I certainly think the avoidance of quarantine is as important to the individual as any other risk, so if you are trying very had to avoid being quarantined in a strange place it's probably going to be wise to stay home.

Thank you for your reply, and for understanding.

I think that's good advice, I can certainly wait another week or so before I decide.

I suppose I'm finding the not knowing to be difficult, I'm always someone who plans ahead, makes lists, etc!
