Covid19 versus Global Warming

The threat of a pandemic is obviously worrying. However, a far bigger concern is surely the fact that we are fast approaching the point of no return when it comes to a climate disaster of apocalyptic proportions.

Maybe Covid19 is the answer. We've already seen a dramatic reduction in worldwide economic activity with no doubt associated reductions in CO2 emissions. Whilst tragic for individuals impacted, a meaningful reduction in human population may just be what the planet needs to recover from the damage we've done, and continue to do.

Personally though, I suspect in a few months time we will look back on this period and shake our heads at all the panic. Then we can focus again on our ongoing destruction of the environment.

I'll remember that if my elderly dad, with health issues, drops dead from catching it. Confused Good Old dad, took one for the team.

Seriously though OP, read the room. There are people on numerous threads who are very worried about loved ones right now. I hope this doesn't impact anyone you love.
