Any other pregnant folks a bit concerned about this virus? Is there any advice for pregnant folk? Or does anyone have any advice for me and those who are pregnant?
Sorry that this is yet another coronavirus post! Thanks for your comments.

I don't think there is any specific advice for pregnancy at the moment, just same precautions as everyone else. I agree it is a worry though, I'm 21 weeks and wondering how things will progress with coronavirus before my due date...

Yeah can't see anything regarding pregnant people. I'm 28 weeks. If we were to get it what medication can we take I wonder. Hmmmm.

Probably just paracetamol but I'm reluctant to take anything unless I feel truly awful 😂 I've got a toddler in nursery and a husband who travels into a couple of big cities for work most days so I'm feeling it might be quite likely our house will be hit if things continue as they are. But there's not much we can do apart from wash hands regularly (which most of us do anyway!) and follow the government advice. Try not to worry 😊

There’s nothing to suggest pregnant women are a high risk group. That’s why there’s no specific advice.

I’m more worried about lots of HCPs being off sick when I come to delivery than I am about me/baby - everything I have read suggests that if you are otherwise healthy then as a pregnant woman you and the baby are no more at risk than anyone else, so just normal precautions apply. But we have very little control over how things play out

PurpleDaisies · 09/03/2020 07:50

And there’s no treatment for coronavirus so it’s only what you’d take to relieve virus symptoms, such as paracetamol.

Royal College of Midwives has a page of info/links. Geared towards midwives rather than pregnant women but if you follow links there's lots. It seems, in a nutshell, not to present any extra worry as far as we know yet.

Good luck both of you! I'm on to this from the point of view of granny-to-be.

Thanks everyone. That's settled my mind a bit. I suppose I'm just more concerned if I were to get it what treatment is Recommended. I think that I can only take some paracetamol but not a full dose. I will see the midwife on Thursday so I'll see what she says and report back for other preggers folk here.

Oh my husband also works in a big city so will travelling in and out a lot. So I feel the lady's concerns above.
