Air travel

I posted about this trip a couple of weeks ago but things have changed since then. I'm flying on a work trip this week to the USA, I'm not so worried about catching the virus (ok I'm cautious but trying to put it in perspective as I'm fit and healthy normally).

BUT I am really worried that whilst I'm away there will be further air travel restrictions and quarantines put in place and I will be stuck over there away from my kids.

What do you think the possibility of this is?

Well the USA isn't classed as a hotspot, and it's vast - you'd be unlucky to be caught up in anything.

Italy has been classed as a hotspot for weeks and the government is still allowing people to travel there.

In summary, even if there was a viral explosion in USA I think it's a while before the gov catches on so you're likely to be able to travel home again with no issues.

But practice extreme hygiene measures at the airport, don't forget there will be people coming in from all over the world.

@youareatwatadmitit - thank you. That's pretty much been my thinking too, just having a last minute wobble I think!

Understandable! I think I'd be happy to go to America - but other places, not so much.
