AIBU to panic about getting formula?

I have a 4 week old. I started off breastfeeding but LO started to become dehydrated and turning yellow. Diagnosed with a severe tongue tie and advised to switch to bottles/pumping and top up with formula, there was a 6 week wait on tongue tie surgery too. I couldn’t cope with pumping while looking after a toddler so I stopped and went to just formula.

Now I’m hearing all about people stockpiling etc and I’m worried that I won’t be able to get hold of formula. Even been considering trying to get my milk back in and use credit card to pay for her surgery privately. I’m just having a panic attack about it I think. I’m high risk for PND and PNA after I had it with my eldest and all the panic is coming back.

Can anyone reassure or advise me?

Is your milk supply still there? If so try feeding your breast to him like a sandwich and holding it in his mouth - this was the only move that worked for DS before he had his tt surgery

I'm sorry you are worried. Please speak to a health visitor or, better still, a gp. Get on their radar, as it were.
Can't hurt to get an extra box of dry formula to reassure yourself. Amazon?
No reason to think little ones' needs will be ignored. They'll probably be prioritised.

Shops still have plenty of baby food even though people are stocking up. We always have couple of weeks worth in anyway which is good idea just in case of any illness. Don’t worry. Feed your baby in the way that’s best for you, the milk will arrive in shop
