No, but she's a boarder and we have 3 confirmed cases in our borough.
I fully support all school closures and complete shutdown though as soon as possible. But with capitalism ruling over lives in this country, so it won't happen.
Everyone has to go to work, but some fail to see that soon they won't be able to.
There are cases in the community now that can't be traced, so soon government will talk about closing the gate, then they'll do something long after the horse has bolted. It's almost like they want worst case scenario of 80k contraction.

Why??? Unless school tells you to, ie they are shut. I would consider it if I had a very poorly child but not for the ‘what ifs’.

no. Covid19 is going to be an active issue for at least the next 18 months and we are not in a position to home school for that length of time. if you are considering it then obviously fines can be avoided by deregistering the child. no point trying to keep them registered until a vaccine is found, the school simply won't keep the place open that long.

Quite frankly I’d rather my kids caught Coronavirus than suffer another week at home with them (we’ve all just had the flu).

No. Nobody at their school has caught it yet. I'd be more worried about after the Easter Holidays as you don't know how many people went abroad.

Ah I see your update. That’s a more complicated scenario than many of us have to worry about. Is it worth asking whoever is looking after your husband? Although I would assume you mean husband is pretty ill rather than asthma?

It's not the kids getting the virus, it's them passing it on to their parents and wider community.
Shutting down would have been the only way to control this and we failed.
How do you think it will spread, from those self isolating for a few weeks or those carrying on?
