What does isolation mean in reality?

Say for example the government puts us into pretty much a lock down.

Hypothetical questions:

  1. Could people go for a walk somewhere rural if they didn't touch anything or talk to anyone? I'd go mad if I couldn't get fresh air.
  1. Could you sit in a garden in a row of terraced houses? E.g fairly close to other people's gardens/houses.
  1. What would happen if you ran out of pet food?
  1. Could people get in their car to visit family after the initial 2 week quarantine if they didn't come into contact with anyone else?

These are just random things that I've been pondering today.

  1. no
  2. yes, but I'd go in if next door came out.
  3. order online or ask relative to leave at house perimeter.
  4. don't see why not.

I'd say yes to number one.
