Or do you just self isolate at home?

Most self isolate at home. For most it's nothing more then a bad cold. It's the vulnerable that made need hospital care. It can develop into pneumonia.

I think this is what's worrying me most, if I know it's just like a cold then I can calm the hell down but everything that's going on it's scaring the life out of me.

If it's just like a bad cold, how do you know you have it? Why would you get tested if you just think it's a cold?

HotChocolatemarshmallows · 07/03/2020 10:15

@Myohmy123 I don't think I have it, I never said I did. I was just wondering if i did ever get it.

I didn't say you did think you have it x. I was just thinking how would we know the difference? When do people think "Oh, I should get tested?" I suppose if it is like a bad cold then for most if us that will be fine. There don't seem to be many reports from actual people who have had it and have recovered.

Are there any definitions of what exactly 'mild' and 'moderate' versions of the virus look like? I've only seen videos of people talking about burning lungs and being unable to walk 5m because of breathlessness - that doesn't sound very 'mild' to me! Shock

There was a guy in America who did a video saying he had received death threats so I'm not surprised people aren't in a rush to come forward.

He described it as being a mild cold although he did have a high temperature. That seems to be different from your average cold (I might expect a slight temp rise but not 39/40 as some are experiencing). Overall though, symptoms were mild.

I believe of the 116 cases in the UK 8 have recovered, 45 are self isolating at home and the remainder are in hospital.

Death threats? That's vile. And there was the Asian guy beaten up in London.

FFS what is WRONG with people Angry?
