Tiny little silver lining

Just a thought - if everyone is being more careful about hand washing and not mixing as much, won’t the normal rates of colds, flu and d&v bugs go down ?

Yes. And if we have permanent changes such as not doing handshakes or kissing any more I for one shall be very happy.

yup!!! Def a silver lining 😂😂😂 I just hope people do take the advice and wash hands more!

YY to the end of men - and it's usually men - shaking the hand of a bloke then lunging in for an uninvited kiss on the cheek (if you're lucky) of the woman standing next to him.
Might be able to leave my taser at home soon.Smile

And another bit of silver lining is that the commuter train that I travel on every day has become a lot quieter. There are still loads of people on it, but usually at this time of year it sounds like a doctors waiting room with people coughing, spluttering and sneezing. I'm wondering if people are becoming more conscious and staying off work if they are unwell rather than struggling in.

Wish I lived where you do, MinesaPinot. In my city people appear to have no shame at all. On the station platform yesterday a woman was boasting, over the phone to her husband, about how bad her cough was and how no medicine could touch it. All the while hacking her guts out for the benefit of other travellers. Angry

And on a long distance train recently I changed carriages at least twice because of the plague-carriers eager to share their germs with blameless citizens. Was surprised at how instantly murderous I felt towards the miscreants.

But yes, if as a community we become more conscious and judgemental regarding hand-washing that can only be a good thing. Though at a high cost.

Better get all public loos to offer proper facilities then.

As an example, at my local station, there are two sinks in the ladies loos. One has been out of action since before CHRISTMAS. And the taps are the type that you have to constantly press down to get water out so you can only wash one hand at a time. To be fair, they have hot water, proper soap and decent hand dryers. But not much good if you can't get enough water out!

And then there are all the "facilities" which have no soap and cold water and very weak hand dryers.

Yes. This occurred to me too 🤞.
