IVF and CV play group questions

HI everyone

Thought I might as well join my questions here, not sure if the IVF one has already been asked though. Me and DH wanted to do a round for IVF for our second this year until this virus popped up. Any other ladies still going through with it or waiting it out until more is known?

Also I'm asthmatic (not under control yet) and me and my DS (21 months) are going to 3 play groups a week. I know they don't clean toys and things properly (know this for a few weeks and most likely we picked up HFMD up from there) just a general sweep and vacuum. Our town had one case of CV and DH town where he works (as a chef) has 4 or 5 cases. Am I being silly for worrying a bit about this? Was thinking to visit family and grandparents more with another cousin to get out of the house with the DS but not sure.
Thanks a lot Flowers

I'm still planning on TTC through this as I'm really feeling my age is against me and I need to get a move on. Currently only 2 cases in the whole of my bit of the UK but things can change quickly.

Me and my DH have been considering whether or not to have a third child over the past couple of years and if we were going to, taking my age into account now would be the time to TTC, there’s always been a lot of different aspects to our choice and although we’re 95% sure that we wasn’t going to TTC we’ve always got the door slightly open.

But with the current CV the the long term affects on healthcare etc it’s time for us to shit the door completely now.

My pregnancy because of my health would be high risk, the baby would be slightly prem at 36 week and I would definitely have to have a c section. Medicinal supplies are going to have a shortage, hand sanitizer even in the NHS and protective equipment is being rationed already. Employment wise goodness know what will happen too by the end of the year, as well as the increase pressure on our finances.

So bringing CV into our thought process and looking at it from all angles we feel we have made the best choice for us.

You need to look into this from all angles. For example, is the IVF privately funded? Are your jobs going to be secure next year after all the ripple affects from CV? Etc

Not sure if that helps at all Flowers

I was in my first trimester when this started. It's made me very glad I know how to birth at home on my own if there are no/minimal complications, and that I'm well versed in the signs of complications that should genuinely send me to the hospital. I suspect by the time my baby is being born, beds in hospitals will be scarce as hen's teeth.
