Gym?

I was wondering if people are considering to stop visiting their gym until CV dies down again? I go to the gym almost daily (mainly classes), and I'm in two minds about what to do when / if the virus takes hold in the UK. On the one hand exercising helps to fight off infections, but on the other gym equipment such as weights, mats, steps, etc. must be covered in germs? I have exercised at home before using YouTube, but I find it quite boring.

Still planning on going. Maybe wear cycling gloves if you’re concerned about handling weights?

We have antibac wipes in our gym to wipe stuff before you use it
Maybe take your own

I'm still going. I wash my hands before going in anyway, then I wear weight lifting gloves because people are unhygienic fuckers at the best of times, and I wash my hands before leaving.

The only things that will stop me going to the gym:

  1. If I have to self-quarantine
  2. I test positive for CV
  3. The gym closes

If your gym doesn't have anti-bac wipes, take your own and wipe down equipment before and after use

I personally wouldn't wear gloves as they harbour germs themselves. It's easier to wash your hands.

I might get myself some gloves then! Always wash my hands before I go in and as soon as I come out of the class. Cleaning the weights with wipes would be quite difficult because they have a rubber layer on the top for easier gripping. I also thought wipes were pretty useless in killing viruses?

I don't just wear gloves because other people sneeze on machines...I wear them because they look great with my outfit Wink

(if I don't wear them, I end up focussing on how the bar feels against my skin and can't concentrate on the lift)

We have anti bac spray and blue paper in the gym. I can count on one hand the amount of us who use it.

I'm still going
