Stop moaning at shop workers

I am sick and tired of angry customers having to be rude to us shop staff because we have run out of hand sanitizer. Like it's our fault ...well it's not. They will be delivered to the stores when there is supply. Until then go and buy online or something.

Well, as you say, they have to be rude so it’s not their fault.

Femail · 04/03/2020 06:46

No customers do not have to be rude in any form.

I think the pp was being playful because you said you are tired of customers having to be rude to you. Meaning they have to be rude.

GiveHerHellFromUs · 04/03/2020 06:51

There's a national shortage of hand sanitizer and some people are scared. I'm sure you have to deal with people complaining about other stock on a regular basis.

No excuse for people being rude but you sound a bit blunt yourself.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 04/03/2020 06:53

Id also add to please stop putting their money in their mourh before handing it to us.

TheMemoryLingers · 04/03/2020 06:53

You're absolutely right - customers shouldn't be rude, whatever their reason. If they're scared - well, so might the shop workers be, especially as they are coming into close contact with the public all day.

AlternativePerspective · 04/03/2020 06:59

Well, they all have taps and soap don’t they?

Seriously people need to get a bloody grip over this, and saying that people are scared is just justification for them being arseholes.

The advice is to wash hands not use Hand sanitiser, so if people just followed the actual advice rather than being sheep and following the panic-mongerers they would be doing what is actually advised, plus saving money and not behaving like arseholes into the bargain. Win-win.

Haha dh works in retail, he said yesterday if he was paid £1 everytime someone asked about hand sanitiser he could retire tomorrow. But you are completely right there is no reason for anyone to be rude about it
