Cancelling kids extra curricular stuff yet?

Is anyone cancelling swimming lessons, rainbows, scouts etc yet?
I'm in two minds. I will at some point but as they are are still attending school it seems pointless! Plus I teach at another school, and DH works..

No. Kids seem to be least affected.

What is the point if they are at school anyway.

If they are going to school there is absolutely no point in stopping them going to extra curricular activities. Let them enjoy themselves.

Why would you consider cancelling?

WhyNotMe40 · 03/03/2020 13:09

I would consider cancelling as it's another group they are mingling with in addition to school cohort. Lots of different schools are represented at the swimming lessons and scouts

Yes have done so already due to needing to use public transport to get to them
Plus all outpatient appts

I've decided that this will be the last week fro swimming and library, but will continue scouts and rainbows - purely because they can wash their hands at scouts and rainbows, while library books brought home can't be disinfected, and the moist sweaty changing rooms at swimming must make it easier to catch any lingering virus!
