Any closed schools doing remote teaching for GCSE/A level students?

Our school (SW London) just closed yesterday for a week deep clean. I am concerned re my teen shortly to sit GCSEs. The school are setting some work on Show My Homework. Just wanted to know are any schools doing more than this? I would not be surprised if the school closes for longer. I would like the school to do lessons by zoom or similar if the school closed for longer as very worried about effects on students due to sit exams. Great if anyone can let me know

I've never heard of Zoom. I think it would be difficult to use anything that wasn't already in place especially as I assume staff are not allowed in school.

Dh is a teacher and ds sitting GCSE's this year.

We have just moved house. We don't have a pc, ds has a mac with music software installed, dh has a macbook he uses at school and I have an ipad and the internet isn't properly set up yet. Anything more complicated than can be done on a macbook wouldnt be possible.

It’s hard enough getting a class all set up with a mymaths account when they are in school. Trying to set up some remote teaching facility after the school has closed just isn’t going to happen.

Not only do kids not have the facility, teachers might not either.

And for safeguarding reasons I wouldn’t be doing anything like Skyping my students from my own house.
