Maybe take a look at the positive mental health thread? Otherwise I think being well informed and as ready as possible is the way to go, no need to panic. Lots of good info on the prepping threads. I can also recommend the Calm app for managing anxiety, lots of meditations, music, bed time stories etc.

How old are you and your children, Relaxing2?

I think the best thing you can do is educate yourself on it, knowledge is power. Stay off Facebook, it’s full of scaremongering crap. Listen to the facts.
Remember that children under 10 present very mild symptoms, if you are young and generally healthy you will be fine.
Even though you and your family will likely to be fine others around you might not, elderly relative or people with health issues, keep up yours and your children’s hygiene and don’t visit elderly relatives if your children have what appears to be a simple cold.

That's pretty much what I was going to say. I know none of us want bad things to happen to other people, but there are ZERO recorded of deaths amongst under 10 year olds, which is awesome. If you yourself are young and healthy then there is no reason to be afraid for your immediate family.

I don't say that to mean anyone who has greater vulnerabilities is worth less (I am more vulnerable myself) but I hope it lowers your worry if you're not in one of those groups.

I agree with pp’s, knowledge is power. At those ages and barring any underlying health issues (which you would know about by now) you will all be fine. You are very very low risk. At worst you may get very unpleasant symptoms. Have a plan in place for that. Easy to eat foods that your 11 year old can give the younger ones if necessary. Make sure you have enough in for a couple of weeks, if that is possible in your financial circumstances. Get in some paracetamol and calpol. But try not to let the worry dominate you.
